Off to South Carolina

We're off for the weekend but I had to show a few pictures of my hydrangeas.  They are loving the all the rain we keep having (every day). Most of these have grown from cuttings that I started in order to move my garden from our old home.  This alone makes me really proud.  We live on a city lot so I've tried to pack in beauty in every corner.

This is one of my favorites - Pretty Maiden

If you're interested in seeing more mopheads, peegees and lacecaps, hop on over to visit Elizabeth and Gene's website hydrangea.com.  They own the most beautiful garden center, Wilkerson Mill Gardens, and it's located near my house.  If you live in the Atlanta area and you love gardens or gardening, it's worth a visit.

Have a wonderful weekend.

  1. Have a lovely weekend!
Those hydrangeas are gorgeous - you obviously have the touch for them. I am looking forward to seeing ours in bloom for the first time - thanks to the deer fence.

  4. Hasn't this been the most glorious weather for hydrangeas! Mine are ever so happy and I haven't had to water them once!

  5. They're gorgeous. Hydrangeas and peonies are my favorite! And I have neither in my yard! I must do something about that.

Where are you in South Carolina, Miss Jojo? I'd love to bump into you one of these days!

  7. Thanks so much for visiting my blog! And yes, I am very proud of that little chair that I bought at auction for $10. I love, love your hydrangeas. My one bush finally played out and another one we planted didn't survive. I do want to try another one though as I think they are the most beautiful flower. They remind me of my grandmother because she had them in her yard when I was growing up. Your hostas look great too! Mine usually do well. I was so thrilled about my coneflowers coming back up after last year's planning but a resident bunny has decided to devour them! Can't stand the thought of ridding the world of that little guy but sure do wish he'd eat my weeds instead! Hope you have (had) a great trip!

  8. Getting caught up after my return from Paris and wanted to thank you for stopping by French Kissed and leaving your comment. So glad you did--your site is delightful. I am assuming the adorable girls in your banner are your sweet grand daughters. Love the hydrangeas, too. I really enjoyed my first visit here.
