I'll be posting pictures soon but we are so excited that my daughter Mimi was invited to perform at the Beirut Music & Arts Festival! She arrived late last night our time, after nearly 24 hours of travel. After getting a good night's rest, she started rehearsing this afternoon. Two weeks of incredible music every night.
Oh my goodness! That is fantastic! When I was a girl I remember my parents having recordings from the Baalbeck festival. This is huge and I can only imagine how proud you must be of your Mimi!
I don't know anything about the festival but it sounds wonderful. I know you are soooo proud of your daughter and rightly so. I hope she has much fun and a safe trip.
Welcome to Jojo's Joys, a place where I share bits and pieces of my daily living adventures here in Georgia and from lots of other places. I hope you’ll linger a bit to read a post or two and while you are at it, leave me a note and let me know what you've been up to. It’s always nice to hear from blog friends. Some people know me as Cheryl but my sweet granddaughters call me Jojo. Thanks for stopping by – hope to see you again, real soon!
How fabulous! Brag to your heart's content--just share it all with us!

ReplyDeleteSERIOUSLY cool! I'm sure we're all hoping the same thing...that there is a designated photographer for documenting this extraordinary experience!
ReplyDeleteI think maybe you should go.

ReplyDeleteHow exciting, my daughter went to Russia when she was 16 with her cello to open the Saint Petersburg Music Festival with her high school orchestra.
